  in an earlier topic, blondie made reference to heated discussions in congregations over kh builds.

  this raises a question.

  my father was and elder who was selected as the building coordinator for the new kh in our local area about 2-3 years ago.

  Live and learn, I guess. Ask yourself this: If your father could have predicted the outcome, would he have done the same thing? I bet you he would because JWs feel like they are doing it for Jehovah no matter what the expense to themselves or to their family.

  i don't have any but i am going to tell on my lady boss, who is a 26 yr old lawyer of the hoity toity breed who was incidently born with golden slippers.

  this morning as i walked into the ladies room we passed each other as she was on her way out.

  we smiled and said hi, then next thing i see her pass her hand under a drip from the tap...and then hastily wipe her hand on the towel before rushing out.

  If you became repulsed by the lady not washing her hands then you need to spend two minutes in the men's bathroom and see what the men do afterward. Myself, I use soap and hot water. Then, after I dry my hands, I use the towel to open the door. Grabbing the door handle with your bare hands negates the washing of your hands.

  My dirtiest habit? If I told you then you'd have to sleep with me...

  Properly Understanding Genesis 3:14

  it was satan that was cursed, not the snake!

  if it was satan then that the "curse" of genesis 3:14 applied to rather than the serpent, then how is it that satan has had to live his life since that day as if having to go upon his belly and eat dust?

  the answer is arrived at by first considering the lowly state of this somewhat pitiful creature called the "serpent".

  Here's the problem that I have with Satan allegedly using a snake as a mouthpiece:

  Eve must have been intelligent enough to know that animals could not talk or reason. So why would she conversate with a snake? And please don't try to tell me that Eve was a new creation and she didn't realize that snakes couldn't talk. Why? Because Baalam (sp?) also had a conversation with his Ass (of the animal variety...LOL!). So, now I'm supposed to believe that Eve believed the snake was actually talking to her AND Baalam believed the Ass was talking to him???

  I have a solution: God should add a new book to the Bible called The Book of (Doctor) Doolittle: "Open your Bibles to Doolittle, Chapter 5 and verse 12. Here we see Paul talking to a bat about blindness..."

  "Oh, how I need money!"

  Hmmm...Now that the "Mother Organization" knows that one of their own is strapped for cash, will they do anything about it?

  Also, the Republic of Georgia is the place where JWs (and other non-Orthodox Christians) are getting beaten regularly. Could it be a Public Relations stunt by the WTS to show the people of the RofG that they shouldn't beat on the JWs? In other words, basically the WTS is trying hard to show "how good JWs are even though you all are kicking our butt!"

  hi i've tried several times to post my not so now i'm going shorten it to i beleave that people go to the hall w/good intentions & strong beliefs which i have no problem with that in itself but i cant measured what 1 indivudual should or should not be doing.

  i don't think that these same people would show up to evrery 5 meeting every week if they thought it was all a crock.

  anyway, we must be careful beause what's good for the gander is not neccessarily good for the ganer.

  I am at the same point as you right before you left!

  I've cancelled my last two talks (my next step is to remove myself from the school). However, last week I received a last-minute request to be a substitute for the # 2 talk (Bible reading). It was in Ezekiel (I think...LOL...I can't even remember). God was once again getting angry at His people and he was going to once again kill them (most of them, anyway). So, I created the "talk" using only the Bible (no WT literature). Basically, I said that just because one claims that they are a true Christian doesn't mean that God won't punish (destroy) them. If God can execute harsh discipline and pain and death to HIS OWN PEOPLE (Israel), then He can do the same to us.

  After the meeting, scores of people came up to me and told me how great my talk was. I thought I was going to get odd looks because Jehovah's Witnesses never talk about how THEY might be destroyed one day. They feel like it will only happen to non-JWs. My talk was "apostate laced" but "JW embraced". I'm confused.
